2016 – Reflecting on last year:

2016 was a good year for us, here at UrbanWorkSpace.

We completed the new block at Branston Court Business Centre. The block is doing well and has many companies running out of it as we speak. We still have some availability in the new block. Our brand new official website went live! The updated site brings a modern twist and an upgrade to the company. You can visit the new official UrbanWorkSpace website at www.urbanworkspace.com. We revamped the look of our boardroom in Steward Street Business Lofts. By dividing the space into three we have created 3 boardrooms available for hire instead of the original 1. All rooms feature upcycled boardroom tables, plasma TV’s and blinds. To see the process behind creating these tables visit our previous post – Our Brand New Pallet Boardroom Tables!

The offices in all locations are continuing to do well.

2017 & Beyond:

We are looking at improving all locations under the UrbanWorkSpace umbrella. In 2016 we began work on cladding and insulating our Steward Street Business Lofts location. The work will be completed in 2017. Once completed our offices will retain the heat better making each office warmer than before.

Also we have already begun planning a 4th floor on Steward Street Business Lofts. The work should commence in 2017 and once completed will feature offices of all sizes. A new floor will allow us to bring more businesses into UrbanWorkSpaces we hope from 2017 and beyond.

We have improved internet services at Branston Court and are looking into further improvements to the centre.

Work continues on both the Brandeaur project and Pype Hayes Hall projects. Both projects remain on target. You can read our previous blog posts on both projects by clicking each of the links below:

In 2016, UrbanWorkSpace celebrated its 5th year. We hope and plan 2017 will be another great year both for UrbanWorkSpace and all our UrbanWorkSpace tenants.

Recently, we have redeveloped a section of office space in our Branston Court location. Work commenced on the new project at Branston at the start of the year. After a lot of hard work and many hours our team has managed to complete the redevelopment and have refurbished two floors of office space at Branston Court.

The newly refurbished office space is available now. All new offices have been purposely designed to suit new and up and coming businesses with the new offices varying in size with everything from solo offices up to 4 person offices available with prices ranging from £300.00 to £600.00 pcm + vat.

Branston Court shown above is located in Birmingham’s famous Jewellery Quarter and is owned by UrbanWorkSpace, a family owned and run company originating from the Birmingham area. Having more space will allow everyone in the office more freedom.
  3. Represent Your Business – Make sure your business is well represented upon entry  of the office. You want any potential client to be impressed so if you have worked on a project big or small have it represented in the office via e.g a photograph of said project. This not only gives a good impression of what your business can do, it also opens up for more conversation between yourself and potential business partners.
  4. Have A Water Cooler – Hydration is key to a vibrant and engaged workforce. Having a water machine in the office is important as it keeps the staff healthy and hydrated also improving their energy levels daily. It is not only a good place for employees to meet and talk over ideas but a way to keep everyone focused.
  5. Style Your Office To Your Personality – Brighten up your office space with new decor and tailor it to you or your business style. If the walls are dull give the room a boost with a new paint colour or hang a few pictures. Art or even memorabilia is a fantastic way to showcase your personality and give out the impression you would want.

Pictured below, our Steward Street Business Lofts location. Steward Street offers a modern environment with a creative feel. Offices are available for this location. The location includes tenant car parking, reception facilities and boardroom hire.

Branston Court

Here is another of our locations located in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham. Branston Court, on Branston Street has more of a traditional feel than Steward Street but features everything you could need whether your business is an established brand or a start up company. The space also features its own car park and reception facilities. Branston Court has everything from small to medium to large offices available.
